Effective FSBO Advertising Writing

Most of the buyers find your house for sale while seeing your professional real estate yard sign, visiting your web page or seeing the advertisement in the newspaper. You must know that advertising is a very expensive thing and you cannot afford even a single extra word as far as the advertisement is concerned.

Since you cannot afford more number of words you will definitely lay emphasis on keeping your advertisement short and still meaningful and attractive. I do feel that lots of skills are required to prepare an advertisement. I do feel that you will definitely require a lot of hard work in preparing an excellent advertisement. The purpose of the advertisement is to let the buyer call you for more information. It should contain enough information to catch the eye of the potential buyer however it should not contain that much information that the buyer does not sees any requirement to call you to know some facts.

The minimum your ad should contain the following things:

  1. The fact that you are selling your property. This can be FSBO, or for sale by owner or just The Owner. This will be the heading of the advertisement.
  2. The second thing which is required to be added is the price of the property. This disqualifies most of the buyers. It is really foolish to say that your price is $50000 or $200000 when actually the price of your house is $160000. You should clearly mention $160000.
  3. You should not forget to write two words about your neighbors. You must know that while buying the property the buyer definitely looks at the neighborhood. If it is not good then it is quiet sure that he will not buy the property and therefore write at least two words to describe your neighbor and always state them to be good.
  4. You should clearly mention the size of the house. The buyers have a clear cut idea about the size. You should clearly mention about number of bed rooms, bathrooms, family rooms or yards. This is really very important for the buyer to know so that he can take any further step.
  5. The next point should be the most compelling idea about your home. For example if you are selling it for fewer prices then it can be low down payment or if you have remodeled it then it can be charming and great family home or something like this. In a nutshell I must say that you should write the most important feature of your house.

You should also write at last your phone number, your web page address and the FSBO reference.
These are some of the important features of your advertisement and it will definitely make it compelling.
